We got up, went to preschool and then Sam and I took Emma and Brody with us to Toys R Us to do some Christmas shopping. After that I took Emma home, I put her to bed and went to get Maddy from preschool, exchange some shoes, and get her some lunch. Sam was going to watch Emma but she woke up right after I left so I had to go pick her up. Unfortunately no one can feed her but me. I really wanted to have some Mommy and Maddy time but it didn't quite work out. Im sure when I get out to Utah I can get some. LOTS of relatives to play with Emma for awhile!
Well it was cold and windy so both girls wanted to be carried, we got in the mall and they have a stupid carousel up. I told maddy we could ride it if she ate well. Got to chick fil a after waiting in line and ordering realized my wallet was in the car in the back of the parking lot. I was NOT about to go get it with my 2 kids and it snowing! And BOY, was it WINDY. Emma had a hard time breathing in the wind and Maddy just cried bc she was cold. So, no food. Went to old navy and they wouldn't let me exchange my shoes even for a different color. So now I'm stuck w 2 pairs of shoes and no one to wear them. Then I'd promised the carosel so we rode that (made Emma sick) and then maddy was screaming bc she was hungry but I didn't have any $ to get food. Got to the car, both kids SCREAMING. Maddy refused to get out of the stroller bc she was hungry so I threw her in the car, she fell down, and cried. After a few min she got out of the floorboard and said "I okay, I fell." Then I felt bad bc really I threw her. Then I promised food again. Found my wallet. Emmas still screaming bc she's tired. Went from the mall to culvers, pulled in the lot and both kids were asleep. So now Emma had a 10 min nap (maybe 10 min) and wants to be awake. And maddy went to nap wo lunch (she dumped breakfast in the floor) so she was up within an hour or so. And I still had errands to run. Literally nothing was accomplished. Not even drive thru food. This is my life.
However, the day ended up turning around. Since Maddy took such a crappy nap we were able to meet Joyce to pick up Darla. Darla stayed with me the rest of the afternoon into the evening to help me get some of my errands done. Not all of them, but most. Then when we got home Maddy and Kendyl put on the cutest little dance recital for us. Soooo adorable!
