Today was our last day at Holly's. I didn't want to leave (we were supposed to leave tomorrow but my mom wanted to get on the road) but it's probably a good thing we did. Maddy was at the point that she was getting in a lot of trouble. I don't like to see her in time-out so much. We don't have pets so she doesn't really understand how to treat them. The only animals she interacts with are at Darla's house and apparently Holly's dogs do NOT like to be chased and roughed up like Papa Mikes puppy. Maddy wasn't understanding that not all animals like that. She was just way excited to be around them and it was getting her into trouble. The cat started scratching her and the dog started nipping at her. Poor thing. She just wanted to play.
Anyways, we drove the LONG trip to Panaca. It was actually really good. The girls were amazing. Poor Emma though, started having problems about 30 min before Panaca and screamed the rest of the way. We pulled over a few times to console her but there isn't really anywhere to pull over and she wouldn't even calm down when I was holding her. Unfortunately, she just had to scream until we got there. BUT, we finally made it!! We are here! Where we will be "settin up shop" for the next however many months. Anywhere else we go is just to visit! Now I just can't wait to get my room finished so or stuff doesn't have to be overflowing all over the house. Every room I walk into has a stroller, barbie jeep, shopping cart, my little ponies or some other toy or article of clothing. Soon, very soon....
On a crappy note, Thomas' dog Drew had to be put down today. :( He was way old and has arthritis so he can't walk. Winter is hard for him.
Update: Maddy keeps asking to see Drew on the webcam. So sad...
